Our Philosophy
At Happy Kidz Daycare, we are motivated by our love and respect for children. Keeping in mind the intense concerns and worries of the parents about the environment which will host their child during the most sensitive periods in their lives, we are here to compliment the families and work together to form a cohesive group between school and home. Preschool education holds an important role on the development of young children therefore, during our 30 years of experience in this successful and fulfilling operation, we have formed a new preschool mentality for children aged from 18 months to 5 years old. We have created a loving, safe and secure environment for your children where their safety, health and well-being are always the first priority.
The teaching method that we implement in the daycare is an open school concept, in which children are the primary agents of their development. This comprises a combination of the Ministry’s basic requirements enriched with the most recent developments in the field, garnished with our vast experience of 30 years. As children learn through play, they are exposed to a variety of learning opportunities throughout the day. The philosophy of this method is the encouragement of the children towards an active participation in the learning process.
“Children learn as they play.
Most importantly, in play, children learn how to learn.”
-O. Fred Donaldson
We have adopted a democratic approach, where children share power with the educators, take part in the decision-making process, feel free to express their emotions, thoughts and ideas, create solutions, and learn to self-regulate their emotions. As every experience the children encounter is part of a learning process, the educators provide the guidance and support to help children develop to their full potential. Through long or short-term incentives, the children have the opportunity to satisfy their curiosity regarding a particular theme of the week or topic of interest. Through play and observation, with great pleasure and satisfaction, they discover and conquer unknown things. In this way children are encouraged and gain confidence and self-esteem through the learning process.
Our actions throughout the day support our philosophy that every child is respected for their uniqueness and individuality, all children deserve an equal right to learn and explore their environment through play, and that no child is ever bad. By creating a fun and stimulating child-directed environment, children get the opportunity to explore their surroundings and develop across the five dimensions based on the milestones of their age.
